Breakthrough Criteria
We are seeking to develop a close working relationship and actively support successful UK-based social enterprises with ambitious growth plans.
We seek to engage Social Enterprises:
- That are sustainable and profitable, with profits reinvested in company or community
- Whose social impact is primarily in UK or Europe
- That are established - minimum turnover £500k, three years trading history
- With a clearly differentiated, innovative model of social change
- With a clear, scalable social impact supported by a credible business plan
- That are ambitious and well-managed
- Who seek a hands-on relationship with CAN, and backing of Permira, one of the world's leading private equity firms
We want to support:
- Strong leadership and management teams to deliver credible growth plans, particularly where CAN and Permira resources can add value
We offer:
- Investment of funds against growth plan, deployed as a high-engagement grant
- Challenge and strategic support to develop organisation

We expect:
- To build an open and trusting relationship and with leadership and trustees
- Delivery against plans
