Adele Blakebrough MBE

Adele Blakebrough is one of Britain's best known social entrepreneurs. A former director of the Kaleidoscope drugs project in Kingston upon Thames, she co-founded Community Action Network in 1998. In 2006 Adele received an MBE for services to social enterprise. In 2007 she won the prestigious Marks and Spencer Sieff Award (Business in the Communty) for her work engaging the corporate sector in social benefit.

Lord Mawson OBE
President
Andrew's career in the social sector has spanned over 20 years. Before co-founding Community Action Network in 1998, he developed the renowned Bromley By Bow Centre in East London which, under his direction, became the UK's first Healthy Living Centre. Andrew received an OBE for his work there in the Millennium New Year's Honours List. In 2007 he became Lord Mawson of Bromley By Bow.

Helen Taylor Thompson OBE FRSA
Chair of Trustees
Since 1952 Helen has been involved with Mildmay Mission Hospital - Europe's first hospice for children. More recently she founded the charity Thare Machi (The Starfish Initiative). As well as being chair of CAN, Helen is involved with several other charities.
