Law for All
Law For All (LFA) provides efficient and high-quality legal advice to deprived people and communities.
They operate in West London, Norfolk and Suffolk. Founded and led by mother-daughter team Ulla and Anna Barlow, LFA is notable for its strong social mission, organisational culture, operational efficiency and success at delivering legal aid contracts in "unattractive" areas of law. LFA wins and delivers contracts from the Legal Services Commission, advising on 12,000 social welfare legal cases per year.
Why selected for Breakthrough:
LFA has established a robust operating model which has potential for national roll-out.
Key Challenges:
To sustain growth, LFA needed to upgrade and implement financial and management control systems and invest in recruiting and inducting solicitors without diminishing the quality of their client service.
Outcomes:
Recruitment of new legal staff, a new quality management programme, business expansion across East Anglia.
| "Breakthrough is helping us to develop our business methods and then to achieve far-reaching social results." Ulla Barlow on Breakthrough |
