Roles and Responsibilities:
To analyse and support the performance of growing social enterprises as part of the Breakthrough social investment fund. To lead measurement of the economic, social and environmental performance. To manage relationships with social entrepreneurs and corporate partners.
Career background:
Richard has recently completed an MBA at the Graduate School of Business at Cape Town University specialising in social enterprise. On returning to the UK, Richard concluded his MBA with a three month exchange at London Business School focusing on finance and organisational behaviour and was a finalist at the Global Social Venture Competition 2007 held at Haas Business School in San Francisco. Richard is also a non-executive director of The SROI Network which is dedicated to the consistent and effective use of SROI. He has keen interests in the areas of social enterprise, responsible business and corporate engagement. Previous to the MBA Richard worked for Browns Restaurants in London in various roles including the General Manager of the Mayfair and Butlers Wharf sites.
